About us

Hi all,

welcome to ACB, we are Herefordshire based however we are committed to supporting parents all over the UK. The reason we have started this group is because we have experience with children's social care, whether that be as children or adults. Some have had positive experiences and some have had not so positive experiences, something we will get into a little later. We want to ensure parents understand and know their rights with children's social services, we want to support you providing evidence and to ensure children's social services are doing their best to follow their own guidance and motto of "keeping families together".

Now there are times children's social services get it right and families need added support, guidance and sometimes removal, for those circumstances we are here, completely independent, committed without judgement to help you, we can just listen, support you to understand their involvement. We can work with you to better yourself, help you sign up for parenting courses, point you in the right direction if you need help from charities such as food banks, furniture etc and so much more. We are also here if you are having a negative experience, we understand that sometimes that does happen -paperwork provided can be incorrect, you may feel unheard, you could be experiencing a social worker who is abusing their powers. Unfortunately this leads to unnecessary distress and we want to stop that. We don't want to focus too much on the negatives, as we don't want this site or group to be about slander. Our main goal is to support you as parents and make sure, if it is safe to do so, we keep your family together and supported. We look forward to hearing from parents and carers, to begin our mission. Please also like our Facebook page (link is at the bottom of the website).

Keep an eye out for some of our fundraising raffles too, we receive vouchers from local companies such as hairdressers, play centres, restaurants, newspapers etc.

Please don’t be scared to reach out, we are here to help.

Kind regards,

The ACB Team
